  • WSA Nationals 2010 - How did it go?

The Team Vanilla skaters did not attend this year's WSA Nationals.

For those that went, how did it go?

I agree.  A large, well organized national jamskating event would be great for the sport.

It seems like in the build up of Nationals everyone's down, it's seems like it's gonna be the best Nationals yet, but then 3 or 4 weeks before, everyone starts to bail and it ends up decent. There has to be a way to make it appeal to everyone, and really get people to go.

I guess nobody wont ever get to compete anymore now that the events are becoming conflicts of interest nowadays.

you dont have to have an organization to throw an event no one has to rely on WSA or UJSTA or even VANILLA, this sport is ours we decide weather we teach younger generations to grow the sport we decide what moves we wanna do where we do them and who we do them with or against. we decide what events we go to and an event is not an event without competitors or spectators. anyone with the time to organize an event and offer everything that will bring people out to an event i say go for it. me personaly am working on throwing a jam in florida so keep a lookout for that but i think everyone with the resources to throw an event should try, WSA tried well good try lets move on lol so i know breaksk8 SC has the perfect resources to throw an event and authentic freak jam has been disscussed so if people want more events then host one!

Hunter I do agree brotha completely. But we do NEED an event that gives us reason to try to go for the gold dont you think? or if thats not the case then forget it because people will not have money to goto all of these "hosted" events. Its just a thought but on a side note people hosting "mini" events would help grow the sport I can say Hunter has a valid point

  • Re: WSA Nationals 2010 - How did it go?

a hosted event as you called it or a mini event doesnt have to consist of every skater its not a national event its a local event but its good for the younger generation thats in the nearby states to get together and get competition experience so that they know what to do in events instead of being sour if they loose and dont know why
